Secondary Impaction

Different from other impactions along the intestinal tract, a cecal impaction can be composed of mostly fluid or doughy contents. The cecum is a blind-ended sac that routinely contracts to empty. A disturbance in the regularity and coordination of the muscular activity has been implicated as a cause.
