Torn Meniscus

The meniscus is a cartilage that sits between the joint surfaces of the femur and tibia in the stifle. Trauma to these mensci can cause lameness and joint distension. Although these injuries can be difficult to diagnose and treat, ultrasound and arthroscopy are often helpful.
